Weed status of the Tambo Shire as of 1st June 2005.

Tambo Shire has very few weeds and is doing its best to try and keep the shire clean. Some parthenium weed exists scattered over 4 properties in the east and there is also a property in the west that has an infestation.  Control is being attempted across most of this area.

Mother of millions is present around the town and council is undertaking control on the town common.

Florestina is scattered across a large area covering several properties.  Council is trying to contain this species and limit its spread by controlling isolated infestations, roadside infestations and educating the public.

Prickly acacia and parkinsonia only occur as isolated plants on roadsides.  These are controlled when found.

The following is a list of known weeds in the shire and their classification.  For information about these classifications, click here.
