Page subject - Lake Eyre Basin Coordinating Group

The Lake Eyre Basin Coordinating Group is no longer operational but it played a pivotal role in the Lake Eyre Basin community proccess.

Here is its story.

Community members, galvanised by proposals to World Heritage list the Channel Country and to grow cotton on the Cooper, got together and designed, developed and ran an organisation to work with governments and show the world that they, the custodians of the land, were best placed and most capable to sustainably manage it.

These archived pages from the original Lake Eyre Basin Coordinating Group website have be made available for information, research and reference for those with an interest in the Lake Eyre Basin. They may contain inactive external links.
